I was very happy to receive confirmation the day before that I would be met at the agreed upon time at the airport.

I was actually a bit early and there he was, smiling, and friendly. After introductions, "Jesse" carefully stowed my luggage in a clean and comfortable vehicle. As we drove away from the busy arrival gate, I was impressed with his use of turn signals, seatbelts, and smooth navigation--not common in a third world country or New York City, for that matter!

I also enjoyed our conversations as we travelled across his country to San Ignacio. He was knowledgeable about the terrain, traditions, and history, but he did not give a "canned lecture". It was like chatting with a friend, and by the time we reached my destination, I felt relaxed and acclimated to this fascinating country, and ready for my Belize adventures.!
